Heavy Duty Pallet Racks
A pallet rack is a material handling storage aid system designed to store materials on pallets. The pallets are stored in horizontal rows and on multiple vertical levels. Warehouse storage on pallet racks efficiently uses otherwise wasted available vertical space and improves overall organization in a warehouse.Pallet racks are typically made of heavy-duty steel and consist of upright frames, beams, and wire mesh decking. The frames are the vertical columns that support the beams, which in turn hold the pallets. The wire mesh decking provides a flat surface for the pallets to rest on and prevents them from falling through.
There are various types of pallet racks, each designed for different storage needs. Selective pallet racks are the most commonly used type and allow for direct access to each pallet. Drive-in/drive-through racks are ideal for high-density storage but require forklifts to enter the aisle to retrieve or store pallets. Push back racks use gravity flow to automatically push forward pallets as others are removed, making it a good option
